PREP's Pro Pastry Series is so much more than just your typical cooking class. It's an intensive
immersion into the world of pastries, breads, cakes and baking. You'll learn to bake like a
professional with the guidance of our famed chef-instructors. You'll prepare and enjoy fabulous dishes and when you're done,you may just surprise yourself with how much you've grown as a chef.

Our four-week Professional Chef Pastry Series is perfect for those interested in careers as chefs, cooks, caterers or other positions in the food service industry as well as for home cooks who want to take their baking to a professional level. We teach attendees the equipment, ingredients, techniques, skills and temperaments used by professional chefs and necessary to work in the food service industry. Tuition for the series and covers all equipment and ingredients used in the class.
Each Professional Chef Pastry Series class meets once a week for four weeks and enrollment is generally limited to 12 students. Our Professional Chef Series classes are a "bootcamp" like series with students learning food and meal preparation akin to that of an on-the-job restaurant situation. Students are responsible for site conditions and meal preparation from start to finish, from mise-en-place-ing of ingredients to workstation cleanup.
We offer two separate Pro Chef Pastry Series: Pro Pastry concentrating on a wide range of pastry types and Pro Pastry Cakes which concentrates on cakes, cakes decoration and celebratory cake creation. Both series are taught by Professional Pastry Chef Karla Flores Ybaceta.
