Passion for Cooking

Chef Stacy Horn’s love of food and cooking was cultivated early on while visiting with her grandmother in Tooele, Utah, whose entire backyard was a garden. The two would pick what was in season: corn, potatoes, peas, and tomatoes, then cook together. As she grew, Chef Stacy accompanied her father, Nevada State Senator Nicholas J. Horn, to high-brow political dinners. After, she and her father would discuss the meal and recreate its dishes. When asked, fine dining is her favorite cooking style because of her dad.

Culinary Experience

Chef Stacy has worked as a savory and pastry chef in Las Vegas restaurants, including Milos at The Cosmopolitan and Botero in The Wynn. She has worked as a Food Stylist for James Beard Award Winner Chef Hubert Keller on Hubert Keller: Secrets of a Chef cooking show; Chef Instructor for Surfas Culinary District, Williams Sonoma, and Sur La Table; and Events Manager and Culinary Director for cooking schools and restaurants.

To enrich her culinary journey, she traveled to France, Italy, Germany, Ireland, and Turkey. She lived in Switzerland, working as a baker, and in Turks and Caicos, as a private chef.
